Most insurance policies will not cover equipment such as wheelchairs against theft from a vehicle, but we receive many claims due to this type of event.

Our policy covers theft of your wheelchair from a vehicle as long as the vehicle is locked.

Many other policies also require that this type of equipment should be placed out of sight or locked in the boot. While we encourage you to never leave your wheelchair in plain view in a vehicle, we will pay claims if this results in theft.
